Legs is a 3D-animated short comedy film that my team of seven artists and I created in less than ten weeks from start to finish.
In one quarter as a group, we were tasked to ideate, pitch, and create an entire 3D short film from scratch. Over the course of the ten weeks we were exposed to how a 3D pipeline works in a studio throughout each step of production. This was my first time creating a 3D film.
I was in charge of overseeing the lighting and rendering departments for the film, as well as visual development artwork, several animated shots, and the creating the model of our Fish Legs character.

Lighting Keys
As the lighting and rendering lead, I was responsible for ensuring that the color in each sequence pushed our story along with purpose and in a visually appealing way. The caveman's outlook on life shifts dramatically once he meets the fish, and that's reflected in the lighting design and color palette.
